Privacy Policy
Cedar Note is an independent, one-person project, not a registered company. Here's what that means for your data, in plain language.
What's collected
When you log in with Google or GitHub, Cedar Note receives your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider — nothing else, and no password. Beyond that, the only data stored is whatever you put in your own notes and folders.
Your notes
Note content is encrypted at rest. No one but you — and anyone you explicitly share a note or folder with, using Cedar Note's own sharing feature — can read it.
Cookies
Cedar Note sets one cookie: a session cookie that keeps you logged in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
Sharing your data
Your data is never sold or shared with third parties. It isn't used for advertising.
Deleting your data
You can delete individual notes and folders yourself at any time. To have your account and all its data permanently deleted, reach out via the contact form.
Changes
If this policy changes, this page will be updated and the date above will change with it.
